1.      Any 7th and 8th grade student interested in being on the West Middle School Track team our first practice will be February 27th. You will need a current physical exam and proof of health insurance in order to participate. You will also need to be passing all of your classes. We will practice each day after school from 2:45 until 5:00. If you have any questions talk to Coaches Cranford, Coe or Coleman.

 

2.      Summer SUNsation enrollment forms are due in the Guidance office by April 13 for current 6th and 7th grade students.  Online registration is also available.  Current 8th grade student plan to register early as your classes fill up quickly.  (Plan to read periodically till April 13)

 

3.      Knitting Club will be held next week on Tuesday, February 28 and March 2nd in Ms. Schuster’s room 109.  Bring yourself, some needles/yarn or even a project.  OR just bring yourself.  We have some really cool yarn and needles that were donated to us!  Snacks will be provided.  Hope to see you there!

 

4.      There will be a StuCo meeting next Tuesday after school until 3:45.  Please sign up for the activity bus or have a ride arranged for 3:45. 

 

5.      There will be a Reading Club meeting next Wednesday, March 1 after school until 3:45.  Please sign up for the activity bus or have a ride arranged for 3:45.

5.        Congratulations to the students that participated in Saturday’s annual city chess tournament at Lange Middle School. They represented themselves and their school with honor and great sportsmanship. The West team finished fourth in the middle school competition. Earning medals were Will Struchtemeyer, Ethan Sims and Ben Edidin. Also, competing for the team was Paul Sandvol.
