I have lived in Columbia for the majority of my life and I am a product of the Columbia Public Schools just like many of you. I received my undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. I was a starting offensive lineman on the football team while at Westminster and was a member of a team that set the NCAA records for passing yards and touchdowns in a season and one of my teammates won the Division III equivalent of the Heisman Trophy. Following this, I entered the Fellowship Program in Education through the University of Missouri, where I attained my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, while in my 1st year of teaching at Gentry. I also have a Master of Education in Athletics and Activities Administration from William Woods University. You will see me in a lot of places here at Gentry, because I am the Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, and a track coach.
I am married to Allison, whom works for University of Missouri Healthcare and I am the proud father of two young boys, Trey and TJ. They are 5 ½ and 4 ½ years old respectively, and are quite busy and active. I also have a border collie named Sadie, whom is very gentle and wonderful with my two sons. My favorite hobby is fishing, but it doesn’t seem like I have very much time to do that anymore.
